His genius sneaks up on you: you’re humming along to a melody you can’t get out of your head long before you realize there are layers to unpack and lines worth serious study. Travis Hill “Scooter Carusoe” has lived and worked in the Nashville music community for two decades. He was a cofounder of independent music publisher Carnival Music and now writes for Endurance/BMG Music. Between publishing and song writing he has twenty plus number one songs to his credit and was nominated for the 2018 CMA song of the year with “Drunk Girl.” His songs have been performed on The Grammy’s, CMA’s, ACM’s and received multiple NSAI, ASCAP and SESAC awards. His works have been recorded by Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, Eric Church, Lady Antebellum, Uncle Kracker, Dierks Bentley, Sugarland, Chris Janson, Brett Eldredge, Gary Allan, Jordan Davis, Montgomery Gentry, Pat Green, Chase Rice, Eli Young Band, Darius Rucker, David Nail and more. Today, the North Carolina-born, Knoxville, Tennessee-raised Hill lives in Nashville with his wife and two sons. Yes, Carusoe is a pen name, but his insistence on using it reveals a lot about who he really is stubborn and Scooter Carusoe inspiring, always fighting to keep the focus where it should be–the song. Marv Green, a Southern California native, moved to Nashville in March of 1993. Within 6 months, Marv’s songwriting caught the attention of producer Scott Hendricks, who signed Marv to a publishing deal with Big Tractor and Warner Chappell music. The following year he scored his second number-one with ‘Amazed’ recorded by Lonestar. ‘Amazed’ spent a record breaking eight weeks at number one on Billboard. Green was honored by BMI with their Song of The Year Award in 2000. Green was awarded the BMI Songwriter of The Year in 2001. Marv also claimed the ACM Song of The Year for ‘Amazed’ as well as a Grammy nomination. Green collected his third number-one song with ‘It Just Comes Natural’ recorded by George Strait and his fourth number-one with the Carrie Underwood single ‘Wasted’. His single with Brooks and Dunn titled ‘Proud of The House We Built’ went top 5. Marv scored his 5th number-one song with Reba and ‘Consider Me Gone’ and Rodney Atkins took his song ‘Farmer’s Daughter’ to the top 5. Marv co-wrote ‘Creepin’ by Eric Church. He also has had two songs placed in the ‘Nashville’ TV show with ‘Wrong Song’ (featuring Connie Britton And Hayden Panettiere) and ‘Trouble Is’ (feat. Hayden Panettiere). Marv’s most recent number-one songs are ‘Who I Am with You’ by Chris Marv Green Young and ’Shotgun Rider’ by Tim McGraw. Marv has the current Tim McGraw single ‘I Called Mama.’ Jimmy Robbins is a Grammy + CMA nominated Nashville-based songwriter, producer, + publisher who has penned over 200 cuts in multiple genres.
