UNITED NATIONS NATIONS UNIES ESSE POSTALE: UNITED NATIONS, N.V. IOO17 CABLE ADDRES DRKSBE TELEGRAPHIOUE: UNATIONB NEWVORK EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY.GENERAL CABINET DU SECRETAIR GENERAL ••TERENCE: 3 February 1997 Dear Mr. Tersigni, I am writing in reply to your letter of 8 January to the Secretary-General, in which you informed him that Our Lady of Lourdes High School had selected him as the recipient of its National Leadership Award. The Secretary-General is indeed honoured to join the distinguished list of award winners, which includes individuals from a variety of areas of accomplishment. He has considered the possibility of travelling to Guelph to participate in an award assembly and has concluded that the demands of his very heavy schedule simply will not permit this. I am therefore obliged to send his regrets, together with his sincere thanks for this tribute and your expressions of confidence in him.
