In a second bowl, whisk together the egg Bites and milk. In a third bowl, add the breadcrumbs. INGREDIENTS Dip one cauliflower floret into the flour mixture then the egg mixture then the breadcrumbs. Garnish with parsley. 7 APPETIZERS by Carla Cardello www.carlacardello.com 8 Cheddar Scallion SERVES 6-8 servings DIRECTIONS Biscuits In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter with a pastry cutter or use your fingers until the mixture is crumbly and looks like small pebbles. Rotate 90 degrees and repeat. Gently pull apart the sections of the cut bread and stuff with the shredded cheese. Serve immediately 11 APPETIZERS by Carla Cardello www.carlacardello.com 12 Sweet Potato Fries with Sriracha SERVES 4 DIRECTIONS Mayonnaise Add the sweet potato strips to a large zip-top plastic bag. Add the cornstarch, salt, garlic powder, and paprika to the bag. Shake to completely coat the potatoes. INGREDIENTS Add the oil to the bag and shake to coat. Add some of the fries to the fry basket without overcrowding. 1 large sweet potato, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch wide strips Select the Fry Setting (400F degrees) and adjust the time to 15 1/4 cup cornstarch minutes or until tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. 1 teaspoon kosher salt If desired add an extra 5 minutes to reach your preferred 1 teaspoon garlic powder crispness. In a second shallow bowl, lightly beat the egg. In a third shallow bowl, INGREDIENTS combine the breadcrumbs and cheese. Repeat until all of the balls 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese are cooked. Chopped parsley and marinara sauce, for serving Serve immediately with parsley and marinara sauce. 15 APPETIZERS 16 Loaded Baked Potatoes SERVES 4 DIRECTIONS Scrub your potatoes and prick all over with the tines of a fork. Place in the basket of your air fryer and press the fry setting at 400 degrees. Increase the time to 40 minutes. Cook the potatoes until tender, depending on the size you may INGREDIENTS need more or less time. Put the wedges in a bowl and if desired drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle INGREDIENTS with paprika and salt. 2 yukon gold potatoes, cut in 6 wedges each Place the wedges in the air fryer basket and press the fry set- 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional) ting at 400 degrees F. Reduce the time to 20 minutes. Shake 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika the basket after ten minutes. When the potatoes are tender, 1/4 teaspoon salt sprinkle the parmesan cheese evenly over the potatoes and 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese cook an additional 2 minutes to brown the cheese.
