UA: PBC is the main media partner of the Forum. Bookstore “Є” (Ye) is the special book partner of the Forum. WELCOME TO THE CIVIL SOCIETY DEVELOPMENT FORUM — THE LARGEST NATIONAL PLATFORM FOR LEARNING, COMMUNICATION AND EXCHANGE OF EXPERIENCE IN THE SPHERE OF STRENGTHENING OF CHARITABLE AND CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS IN UKRAINE! The topic of the 2019 Forum is “REACHING THE POINT OF SUSTAINABILITY”. The purpose of the Forum is to strengthen the capacity of civil society to develop sustainable self-reliance practices in the sector. Ukrainian civil society, at least in some dimensions, now has reached the “point of no return”. Therefore the Forum is the best place to reflect are we ready to move to a new level of sustainability of our initiatives? Are we ready to face bravely the dangers of disorganization, dependence, humiliation? Are we aware that the road ahead of us requires the full capacity on our behalf to be able to cope with ourselves? We suggest to look at self-reliance of the sector as both its №1 aim and challenge. Let’s draw up our joint action plan: • Let’s think about whether our role and mission meets public expectations? And do people really need “intermediaries”? • Let’s face the global agenda: Why is the whole world talking about the Sustainable Development Goals? And how can we learn to dream on SUCH a scale? • Let’s talk frankly about the sustainability of our organizations: will they survive without the support of international institutions? Are Ukrainians ready to support civic and charitable projects with costs out of their own pocket? • Let’s count how many people trust us? Does this figure reflect the low KPI of the whole sector? • Let’s recall that organizational development is not just about strategies and policies, but also about managing partnerships to achieve common goals. It’s citizen engagement, it’s social innovation, it’s talent management. This is good governance and full transparency of activities. May there be much inspiration today. Lots of training and networking. Much joy from meeting all your colleagues and friends. Let’s have the Forum again! Use the hashtag #forum_ednannia when writing about Forum in your social media. While later this will help you to find your posts more easily, now this will help to find friends and colleagues near you, so that you can get inspired by the Forum together!
