To analyse the impact of human activities on Himalayan Musk deer and various flora in Rudraprayag and chamoli district (Uttrakhand) METHODOLOGY • Students were taken to the Sanctuary to see impact of habitat destruction and successional changes in the area because of ongoing unsustainable harvesting and logging practices. • Students were taught about the steps taken to protect Endangered species. • They observed diversity of flora and fauna, how animals interact with each other and their surroundings. • Identification of different birds, butterflies, snakes and fishes. OUTCOMES ▪ Students were educated about the Wildlife protection act and main objective of establishment of this particular wildlife sanctuary. ▪ Students were sensitized about the impact of extinction of various wild animals.
