Comprised of textual records, the collection contains materials from various officer notebooks, past issues of the newsletter, The Flame, and a scrapbook made by members. 3 History Alpha Lambda Delta, the National Academic Honor Society for Freshmen, was founded in 1924, with the Tennessee Tech University chapter being founded November 15, 1973. Scope and Contents The Alpha Lambda Delta records date from 1973 to 2015, with the bulk of the materials dating 1996 to 1998. Comprised of textual records, the collection contains materials from secretary and presidents’ notebooks, notebooks created by the Tennessee Tech University chapter containing both national and local materials, and issues of The Flame, the society’s newsletter.
