Managers and Coaches Responsibilities SOFTBALL & BASEBALL FIELD USE As a Manager/Coach for Par-Troy West Little League (Baseball and Softball), I will hereby follow all the rules and requirements listed below: Good Weather Pre-Game Responsibilities Home Team Manager is responsible to get to the field at least 30 minutes to 45 minutes to open the field. This includes the following: 1. Line the field 2. Open the batting cages, if needed 3. Inspect the pitcher’s mound a. Fill holes if needed b. Rake the mound 4. Inspect batter’s box a. Fill holes if needed - The Field should be free from all debris checked by a coach or manager. Post-Game Responsibilities AWAY Team Manager (unless Inter-League) for the day is responsible for the following: 1. Make sure all dugouts are clean of all garbage. 2. The spectator areas should be clean from garbage. 3. The dugout garbage should be emptied into the large garbage cans or dumpsters. 4. All gates locks should be locked. 5. Fields need to be raked, or dragged. 6. Inspect the pitcher’s mound a. Fill holes if needed b. Rake the mound 7. Managers and Coaches Responsibilities Field Use (Continued) Bad Weather 1. Check Website for Town Field Closures After 3pm 2. PTW Field Closures: Baseball Field Conditions: Emails from Frank Neglia Softball Field Conditions: Mike Rivette – (201) 415-8075 Marc Davis – (973) 479-8274 Pre-Game Responsibilities Each Team Manager is responsible to get to the field at least 60 minutes to 75 minutes to open the field. This includes the following: a. Removing standing water from the Field. b. Put Turface / Speedy-Dry down to make fields safe. c. Line the field. d. Open the batting cages, if needed. 2. The Field should be free from all debris checked by a coach or manager. 3. Inspect the pitcher’s mound a. Fill holes if needed b. Rake the mound 4. Inspect batter’s box a.
