TOWN OF PLAINVILLE ZONING REGULATIONS Effective – December 1, 2010 Revised to March 22, 2018 – See Appendix “B” As provided in Subsection 8.04.1: Any use of land, buildings or structures not expressly permitted by these Regulations in the various zoning districts is prohibited … … in the event of uncertainty as to whether a use is permitted, the Commission shall be responsible for interpreting these Regulations. This regulation, effective December 1, 2010 was revised in part through a grant from the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection through the Farmington River Enhancement Grant Program. The intent of the grant is to: • review existing municipal regulations and ordinances, and • draft recommended changes to remove barriers to low impact development (LID) and create opportunity for low impact development practices to be employed in Plainville. • reorganize the town’s zoning regulations to accommodate low impact development.
