Mike Sullivan Court affirms constitutionality of corporate contribution ban The state’s Supreme Judicial Court decided in September that the Massachusetts campaign finance law’s ban on corporate contributions to candidates and other committees is not unconstitutional. The decision, available here, was unanimous. The lawsuit (1A Auto Inc. vs. Director of OCPF) was originally filed in 2015 by the Goldwater Insti- tute, a Phoenix-based organization, on behalf of two Massachusetts corporations.
