CARDIFF COUNTY COUNCIL CYNGOR SIR CAERDYDD CARDIFF HARBOUR AUTHORITY AWDURDOD HARBWR CAERDYDD LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS – CARDIFF BAY No: 18 of 2018 Date: 7th September 2018 British National Water Ski Race – Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th September 2018 th Firework Display – Inner Harbour Saturday 15 Spetember No 18 – British National Water Ski Race – Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th September 2018 On Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th September 2018, rounds 7 and 8 of the British National Water Ski Race will be taking place in Cardiff Bay. Vessels are requested to keep clear of the race area (see attached plan A) between the following times: Saturday 15th September 1100–1600 hrs Sunday 16th September 1100-1600 hrs The race area will be marshalled by Harbour Authority and Race Control vessels. Access to and from the Harbour Authority Pay and Display pontoons at Roald Dahl Plass and the Graving dock will be restricted between 1100 – 1600 hrs on both days. Public vessels on the pontoons during these times must remain there until the access has re- opened. Mariners are requested to keep clear of the exclusion zone and to navigate at slow speed in its vicinity to keep wash to a minimum. No 19 – Small Fireworks Display – Inner harbour – Saturday 15th September 2018 On Saturday 15th September there will be a small fireworks display in the Inner Harbour of Cardiff Bay commencing at a time between approximately 2140 hrs and 2150 hrs. The fireworks will be set up on a barge near the entrance to the Inner harbour. Mariners are to keep well clear of this barge. Whilst the display is in progress, vessels will not be permitted to enter or leave the Inner Harbour and an exclusion zone will be in force (see attached plan B). The Harbour Patrol will be on station during this time to enforce the exclusion zone. Mariners are reminded that CCTV is in operation at the Barrage for operational and health and safety reasons.
