There is no doubt that the guitar possesses some mysterious power that irresistibly infuses into the mind of its lovers an earnest longing for UNITY and CO-OPERATION and, as a final goal, for building up ONE BIG FAMILY OF GUITARISTS. We, guitarists, have never had any tendency t_o be divided, but, on the contrary, were and always are inspired by the real eagerness to be umted. Our London Society is only one example of many m that respect. Started from a very tiny nucleus, indeed, with very few associates and supporters in the Sou~h, North West and East of London; today we have strong "family" ties, through our rune branches and nine Fraternal Societies, and representatives in all five continents, from Eastern Siberia to Western America and from the North of Europe to the South of Africa and Australia. All this was achieved partly by personal contacts, but MOSTLY through friendly, enthus­ iastic and '' sustained '' correspondence.
