Kenston dominated the stats and scored first, but a Kyle rip bounced down off the crossbar for Baldi to head home and earn us the draw with eight minutes to spare. Ian made eight saves. L 0-2 @ Chagrin Falls - Long bus ride, old-school stadium and tiny field. The Tigers worked us over pretty good, but only scored one goal on us… Patrick got the other. Season-high 11 saves for #1. W 6-0 v Holy Name - A feel-good against the overmatched Green Wave saw Zack score a hat-trick and get a couple assists. Baldi and Kyle added goals after Zack’s opener in the first half, Jesse scored in the second half after Hutton’s second and third. Five different Pirates recorded points on the evening and there really wasn’t all that much to do for Ian, after two busy nights out in Chagrin. L 0-2 v Westlake - On the first day of school, the Demons dominated us in the scorebook (15 shots and 12 corners to our one and two, respectively) and knocked in two after halftime for the win. Ian made eight saves to keep it a two-goal match. W 3-0 @ Firelands - Kyle got things going nine minutes in, but Zack had his penalty kick saved and the Falcons brought the pressure to make for a tense rest of the half. Despite a Hutton header and a Baldi penalty kick after the break, this was a 3-0 that felt a lot closer than it was.
