The successful purchaser shall be the highest bidder and will obtain the lot at 5% above the second highest bid. For example, highest bid $145, second highest bid $105 - Price realised $110. 2. You may bid on as many lots as you wish (above or below the estimate) stating the overall limit you wish to spend, provided this limit is not less than one third the total of all your bids. This rule is waived in certain circumstances where a bidder may wish to acquire only one lot within a series of lots containing generally similar material. Payment to be made before goods are shipped. 6. OVERSEAS BIDDERS: You may bid in your own currency provided this is clearly indicated on the bid sheet. Such bids will be converted to Australian dollars three days prior to the auction date using the “Yahoo” internet currency conversion. GENERAL 1. The reserves are unstated but are always below the estimate. 2. VIEWING: At our Wembley Office during office hours Mon-Fri (10.00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m.) or by appointment. Viewing will begin on Monday September 7. All viewers must fill in a Viewer Form listing the lots they wish to inspect. The right to view is at the sole discretion of Robin Linke and Staff. 3. A prices realised listing - including unsold lots at reserve price for direct sale - is sent to every postal and floor bidder. 4. Payment is to be sent within 3 days of the receipt of invoice. Payment can be made by Bankers cheque/draft in Australian dollars (or personal cheque if cleared with us), Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Money Order, Direct Bank Transfer, bank notes. a. A charge of 2% of invoice is made if using Visa, MasterCard & American Express. b. EXTENSION OF CREDIT: A lay-by service of 25% deposit and the balance over 3 months from the date of the auction is available and payable by credit card if desired. No other credit can be extended. 6. A lot may be returned (in the condition received) if the bidder is not satisfied with it by virtue of mis-description or defects not evident if illustrated, providing the lot is returned within 30 days of the auction date. OVERSEAS BIDDERS should notify us by phone/fax/email that a lot is being returned. Collections, accumulations etc are offered “as is” and cannot be returned. 7. A bidder wishing to obtain a Certificate of Genuineness should indicate this before the date of the sale. The cost of the Certificate is to be borne by the bidder and payment made under the normal terms described above. If a lot is found to be not as described a prompt refund is made in full including the cost of certificate. An Expert Committee declining or failing to give an opinion is not grounds for rejection or return of the lot. The period of extension for certificate is 90 days, after which ownership transfers to the successful bidder.
