READING COMPREHENSION Read the following story. Tiger Woods starting learning golf when he was still a toddler. His father taught him the game, and Tiger was even on television hitting golf balls when he was just two years old. When Tiger was growing up he would practice his golf skills for hours and hours, but he also made sure he did his schoolwork. Tiger won lots of golf tournaments as a child but also earned grades to get into Stanford University. After college Tiger became a professional golfer on the PGA TOUR. He won his first PGA TOUR tournament when he was 21 years old in Las Vegas. Some people say Tiger is the greatest male golfer of all time. Some say it is Jack Nicklaus. And some people think it is someone else entirely. Tiger has won 82 times on the PGA TOUR, which is tied for the most with Sam Snead. “People don’t understand that when I grew up, I was never the most talented, I was never the biggest, I was never the fastest, I certainly was never the strongest. The only thing I had was my work ethic, and that’s been what has gotten me this far,” Woods once said. Woods was recently chosen to be in the World Golf Hall of Fame.
