In English, the term refers to the northern islands of the Lesser Antilles chain. They start east of Puerto Rico and reach southward to Dominica. They are situated where the northeastern Caribbean Sea meets the western Atlantic Ocean. The islands are affected by active volcanism, and notable eruptions have occurred in Montserrat in the 1990s and in 2009 to 2010. In the following daily itineraries, we have provided you with all anchorages and passages, as well as corresponding activities and restaurants. You will see options for both “Active” and “Leisure” based activities and excursions. The Far Niente crew will always be available to accompany you on excursions throughout your trip. As these are only summary itineraries, further information regarding all shore-based activities is available upon request. All plans and movements are completely up to your discretion and can be changed at any time. If you especially like one location, we can stay longer and if you are eager to see the next spot, we can always leave the current location early (dependent on guest arrival and departure flights, of course).
