Company Profile and Education Sector Track Record Delta Planning is a client focused independent town planning and development consultancy. We specialise in advising developers, contractors, investors and institutional estate managers in securing the necessary planning approvals to help them deliver their development aspirations. Delta Planning combines an in-depth knowledge of planning policy and legislation with commercial awareness and a clear understanding of the development process. We work closely with other disciplines to form integrated planning and design project teams. We have broad experience across a range of sectors but with a specialism in residential, employment and education related schemes. In the Education Sector the Company Director has a wealth of experience obtained over many years of working on numerous education projects for clients including Birmingham City University, The University of Wolverhampton, The University of Leicester, The University of Buckingham, Dudley College, Solihull College, Walsall College, Bromsgrove School, Myton School (Warwick), Miller Construction (Leicester BSF), Barr Beacon School (Birmingham) and Bablake School ( Coventry). Delta Planning’s education sector projects include: University of Wolverhampton – Town planning advisor on various capital projects across the University’s estate. Recent major projects include securing planning approvals for a new 6,000 sq.m laboratory building, and a new 7,000 sq.m business school in Wolverhampton City Centre. Birmingham City University – Recently secured planning permission for a new 10,000 sq.m School of Education and Life Sciences Building at the University’s City South Campus in Edgbaston. Delta Planning has also secured listed building approval for minor alterations to the Grade I Listed School of Art at Margaret Street in the City Centre. University of Buckingham – Secured various planning approvals for a major expansion of the University onto a former industrial site next to the main campus. The project involved securing an outline ‘masterplan’ approval for the principle of site redevelopment in tandem with detailed approvals for Phase 1 of the project. Delta Planning is also advising the University on issues relating to residential development on non–operational land. Newman University – Delta Planning is currently preparing a planning application for 300 new student residences and some additional teaching accommodation at the University’s Campus at Bartley Green in Birmingham. University of Birmingham – Delta Planning supported the University in securing planning permission for a new Free School and 6th Form on its Selly Oak Campus. Dudley College – Town planning advisor to the College on a major programme of redevelopment of the College estate across Dudley. This has included securing various planning approvals for new teaching and support facilities totalling 20,000 sq.m. Solihull College – Secured planning permission for 7,500 sq.m of additional teaching accommodation at the College’s Woodlands Campus, and main Blossomfield Campus. Burton & South Derbyshire College – Advisor to the College in respect of planning issues relating to the sale of surplus former playing fields at Rolleston-on-Dove. .
