Canyon de Chelly National Monument Museum part is closed until May 2011 The Visitor Center is 3 miles (4.8 km) from Route 191 in Chinle, AZ. Visitors center open 8AM – 5PM Tours are available for additional cost. Guide suggests driving through and stopping periodically. White House Ruins Trek Only trail in Chelly that doesn’t require a guide.
