Additionally,theknownspeciesofthefamilyAcrididae ofgrasshoppershaveakaryotypeconsistingof acrocentricchromosomes(1).However,weobserved thatO.schochischochi andA.insbricus haveadifferent chromosomemorphology.Theoriginofthismorphology ofchromosomesisconnectedwithpericentricinversion. Thiskindofrearrangementhasgenerallybeenfoundin Fig.12. MitoticmetaphasewithG-band. grasshoppers(1,16-18),butuntilitnowwasnot observedinOedipodinae.
