High School in Munfordville Sep tember 27-28. One school official estimated the attendance at each session to be in excess of 2.000. Gospel singers and musicians from throughout Kentucky, as well as neighboring states, participated in the event which brought to a climax activities during "GOSPEL MUSIC MONTH IN KENTUCKY" as officially proclaimed by Gov. Julian Carroll. A total of approximately 50groups appeared during the convention. Plans are already underway for next year's convention which will be held in Hopkinsville. Officers for 1976 will be President, Alex Littlefield; Vice-Presi- dent, Ed Dye; and Secretary-Treasurer, Willard Gray. Blackwood. of the Blackwood Singers, recently at a fair in Imboden, Arkansas, used a mega public address system and .flew over the county and surrounding towns telling them that the Blackwood Singers would be singing that night. Many folks heard that voice from the clouds and almost for an instant thought it was coming from higher up! Until they saw the helecopter. The results that night was over 1200 people heard the Blackwood Singers. Blackwood said he'd do almost anything to get a crowd out.
