Then as if by fate, Sabla Tolo Volume 3 dropped through my letter box…! Have you come across the Sabla Tolo series before? I’m sure you have heard the name Hossam Ramzy. (I heard Hossam and his Egyptian Orchestra on Radio 3 today!). Hossam has been drumming for dancers from an early age and is married to the famous bellydancer; Serena Ramzy. He has released over 20 albums of Egyptian dance and world music to date and has worked with many household names of the musical world. When Hossam released the first Sabla Tolo album, it was quickly followed by volume 2 and now 3 by popular demand. This time he presents more brand new rhythmic compositions of Egyptian tabla solos with full percussion arrange- ments for Oriental dance, spanning a wide array of Egyptian and Middle Eastern rhythms. Explanations to each of the pieces with rhythms, numbers of bars, notation etc. are included in an accompanying booklet. This is a perfect tool for creating beautiful dance choreographies or just for studying and using as a little course in Egyptian and Middle Eastern rhythms.” - The Bellydance Club, UK ARC Music IN FILM & TV Indiana Jones and The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull included two tracks from our “Best of Russian Folk Songs” album.
