HUNSDON @ THE FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT 2016 On the 14th of March 2016 Hunsdon football team took part in a football tournament at Woodson Park. The team was David as striker, Archie, Callum and Elliot in midfield, me and Ben in defence, Finlay in goal and Toby, Thabani and James as subs. We started off the tournament by facing St Andrews, where David scored 4 goals in the course of a minute I then scored a goal. We ended up thrashing them 5-0! The next match we faced Hertingfordbury B, we tried our hardest but we ended up drawing 2 all. Our next team Hunsdon faced was Thundridge; we won 3-2 because of our amazing defence which I obviously played in! After an enormous break we played Tower, who we just managed to beat 2-1 the goal they scored was a legendary toe punt - by a girl! We then played Little Munden and I scored another amazing goal as well as David and Callum in the end the score was 3-1 to us. The next match we faced Wareside, somehow we managed to come out on top but David still thought they deserved to win. 3- 2 to us. A few minutes later we faced Hertford Heath B, during this match our defenders weren’t even needed, they didn’t even have a chance to try and shoot 5-0 to us! Yeah. We then played Hertford Heath A, they were a mighty team because they nearly won!!! 1-1 We then qualified into the semi-finals followed by Thunderidge, Hertingfordbury A and Bayford. First of all we played Bayford and managed to win 3-2 We were definitely in the final now; this last match was either make or break. In the finals we were against Thunderidge who beat Hertingfordbury A in penalties. The match started horribly when they scored their first goal, 1-0 It carried on like this until the end score was 4-0 to them. And to think we beat them the first time round! WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK MR MILLWARD FOR BEING A GOOD MANAGER, SARAH FOR DRINK SUPPLIES THE SUBS FOR CHEERING US ON AND ALL THE PARENTS FOR DRIVING US THERE. AS WE ALL SAID SILVER MEDALS LOOK BETTER THAN GOLD! .
