Running Costs (1 st year) • £55000 per anum • Staff salaries £29000 Income • Advertising income £21000 (Only 50% allowable from advertising) • Service agreements £12000 • EEDA grant (final payment) £2000 • Sound services £2000 • Corporate days £12000 • Training £6000 Achievements to date - Wayland Community Radio • has been developing as a project for nearly four years • has a core team of broadcasting professionals (BBC Local Radio and Commercial Radio) working as volunteers • has a team of over 40 volunteers involved in broadcasting • has ideal premises, on the end of the Cromer Ridge (65m above sea level), with a 20m mast (65ft) • has undertaken four very successful, trial broadcasts • has measured public interest through telephone calls, e-mails and comments made to team members • has undertaken building/conversion work • has well established professional links with BBC Local and Commercial radio in the area. • is working closely with Breckland District Council, the Police, Norfolk Fire Service, Peddars Way Housing Association, Criminal Justice Bureau and The Mid-Norfolk Portuguese Association • is being given technical support by IBM • is discussing the possibility of working closely with and sharing facilities with Talking Newspapers for the Blind. • is working with excluded school children • is providing corporate training for local agencies .
