JEREMY MOSS COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 28, 2019 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Economic and Small Business Development was scheduled for Thursday, February 28, 2019, at 12:00 noon, in the 1200 Room of the Binsfeld Building. __________________________________________________________________________________________ The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Adopted the Committee Rules 2. Presentation by Tim Sowton, Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Policy for the Business Leaders for Michigan. 3. Presentation by Delaney McKinley, Senior Director of Governmental Affairs and Membership for the Michigan Manufactures Association. __________________________________________________________________________________________ The Chairman called the meeting to order at 12:02 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chairman Horn, Sen.(s) VanderWall, MacGregor, Theis, Schmidt, McMorrow, Geiss, and Moss, a quorum was present. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. VanderWall to adopt the committee rules. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chairman Horn, Sen.(s) VanderWall, MacGregor, Theis, Schmidt, McMorrow, Geiss, and Moss Nays: None The motion prevailed and the rules were adopted. The Chairman made a motion to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Lauwers was excused from the meeting. The Chairman invited Tim Sowton, Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Policy for the Business Leaders for Michigan, to give a presentation. The Chairman invited Delaney McKinley, Senior Director of Government Affairs and Membership for the Michigan Manufacturers Association, to give a presentation. There being no further business before the committee, the Chairman moved to adjourn the committee.
