Soto said he saw someone suspicious leaving the parking lot on a skateboard about 7pm. Within minutes the church was engulfed in fames. San Diego County has been battling a number of wildfres, many of suspicious origin. 3rd Place |Francine Orr | Los Angeles Times Cameron Mitchell, 26, looks for his family’s two cats aboard a breached 72 foot yacht named “Angelique,” just south of Ballona Creek in Playa del Rey on Feb. 27. Te ship ran aground in the early morning. Tree people and three dogs got of the boat safely afer it beached some time the previous night according to a sergeant at the sherif’s Marina del Rey Station. Two cats are thought to be on board.
