Her books include Re-Writing the Script. Gen- der and Community in Elin Wägner (2009), Gender—Power—Text. Nordic Culture in the Twentieth Century (ed.) (2004), and Swedish Women’s Writing 1850–1995 (1997). Her research focuses on Swed- ish literature and especially women writers, with an emphasis on narrative and narration, subjectivity and identity, intermediality, and ecofeminism. Annegret Heitmann, Professor of Nordic Philology at the Ludwig-Maximil- ians-Universität München. Her main research interests are Scan- dinavian literature around 1900, intermediality, gender studies, concepts of beginnings and genres like autobiography and apho- risms. Recent book publications: Landnahme. Anfangserzählungen in der skandinavischen Literatur um 1900 (with H. Eglinger, 2010); Am Rand. Zur Poetik des skandinavischen Aphorismus (2012; with K. Yngborn and A.E. Doll); Tourismus als literarische und kulturelle Pra- xis (2013; ed. with St. M. Schröder). Elisabeth Herrmann joined the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Cana- da in 2006 as Visiting Associate Professor of German and Scandi- navian Literatures and Cultures. Her research focuses on collec- tive identities, cultural memory, regional and world literature, and processes of cultural interactions and transfer. She has published several articles, monographs, and encyclopaedia entries on contem- 7 porary Swedish authors such as Per Olov Enquist, Lars Gustafsson, Bodil Malmsten and Carl Johan Vallgren. Book publications in- clude: Das Ich im Dialog mit dem Wir. Die Literarisierung kultureller Migration als kritische Auseinandersetzung mit der eigenen kollektiven Identität in Werken zeitgenössischer schwedischer Schriftstellerinnen und Schriftsteller (2006). Thomas Mohnike is Senior Lecturer (maître de conférences) in Scandina- vian studies at the Université de Strasbourg. His research interests include imaginative geographies and geographies of knowledge, fo- calizing on the use of literature in the making of identity, alterity, and otherness in Scandinavia, including postcolonial perspectives and the history of rewritings of Old Norse sources. Book publicati- ons include: Imaginierte Geographien. Der schwedischsprachige Reise- bericht der 1980er und 1990er Jahre und das Ende des Kalten Krieges (2007). Bjarne Thorup Thomsen is Reader in Scandinavian Literature in the Division of European Languages and Cultures at the University of Edin- burgh. He holds a cand.phil. degree from the University of Copen- hagen and a doctorate from Edinburgh University. His work is pri- marily focused on regional, national and transnational dimensions of Scandinavian novel and travel writing. He has also published on Danish literary history and working-class autobiographies and has an additional interest in the relationship between literature and Scandinavian silent cinema. His book publications include Cen- tring on the Peripheries (ed.) (2007) and Lagerlöfs litterære landvin- ding (2007). Antje Wischmann
