[Enter here] Hitachi Zosen Corporation ITOCHU Corporation Establishment of a joint venture company for the onshore wind farm business at Mutsu Ogawara, Aomori Hitachi Zosen Corporation (Head Office: Osaka-city, Osaka; Chairman & President: Takashi Tanisho; hereinafter "Hitachi Zosen") and Itochu Corporation (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & COO: Yoshihisa Suzuki; hereinafter "Itochu") established a joint venture company "Mutsu Ogawara Wind Power LLC." The company will build and operate the onshore wind farm facing the Pacific Ocean in Rokkasho Village, Kamikita-County, Aomori Prefecture for wholesale supply of electric power, and will proceed with activities aimed at commencing commercial operations after 2023. ■ Outline of the onshore wind firm project 1. President/CEO:Takashi Fujita 6. Capital:10 million yen 7. Ownership:Hitachi Zosen 50%, Itochu 50% 8. Business Activities : Establishment and operation of land-based wind power stations in the Rokkasho Village area of Kamikita-gun, Aomori Prefecture, and wholesale supply of electricity Establishing an energy source for local production and local consumption, we will contribute to the creation of employment in local communities and the local economy in the construction and operation phase of power generation facilities. This project is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 72,000 tons. The volume is equivalent to the annual electricity consumed by about 43,000 ordinary households. .
