RAVENWOOD GOLF CLUB GOLF OUTING RULES AND REGULATIONS GENERAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE Deposit and Guarantee A guaranteed confirmation for an outing will occur upon receipt of both the complete application agreement and the required initial deposit as stated below in the deposit section of this document. Cancellation Inclement weather Ravenwood Golf Club reserves the right to postpone confirmed golf events due to inclement weather. Decisions will be based on the playability of the golf course, and is at the sole discretion of Ravenwood Golf Club management. If the golf course is determined unplayable, all efforts will be made to secure an alternate “rain date”. The Client will be given an opportunity to reschedule the event within 90 days, and the deposit will be held for that date. If another date cannot be made available, or is not suitable to the Client within 90 days, the entire deposit will be refunded. If the golf course is determined playable by Ravenwood Golf Club management and the Client cancels the tournament due to inclement weather, and another date cannot be scheduled, for any reason whatsoever, the Client forfeits the entire deposit. Other reasons If the confirmed event is canceled for any reason other than inclement weather, refunds may or may not be issued, in accordance with the section titled “Refunds” below. Deposits An initial deposit in the amount of 15% of the total estimated event fees (golf, food and beverage) is due and payable to Ravenwood Golf Club upon submittal of the signed Golf Outing Application/Agreement. An event will not be confirmed without the required initial deposit as stated above. Refunds An event may be canceled with or without penalty depending on how far in advance of the event cancellation is received by the club. Refunds on deposits will be made as follows: 1) If cancellation is received 61 days or more in advance of the event: Full refund 2) If cancellation is received 31-60 days in advance of the event: Refund 50% of deposit 3) If cancellation is received 30 days or less in advance of the event: No refund Final Payment on Balance Final payment of all outing fees is due and must be paid immediately following the conclusion of the event. In case the actual number of participants falls below the guaranteed number of golfers, which must be given to the club no later than 2 weeks prior to the event, the group will be required to pay for the greater of either a) the actual number of players or b) 90% of the guaranteed number of players as given to the club. Ravenwood reserves the right to only accommodate a maximum of 5% over the guaranteed number of outing participants. A guaranteed number of outing participants must be to the club two weeks prior to the date of the event. Last minute changes will not be guaranteed to be correct on the written handouts, but every attempt will be made to correct the written material and names on the golf carts. 1 GOLF COURSE Starting All players must start on the hole as assigned by the club, unless other arrangements have been made through the golf shop prior to the start of play. Rules of Play Play on the golf course shall be governed by the tournament “rules of play” as given to each outing participant prior to the established tee-off time. Participants must play from the tees as designated in the “rules of play” for the outing. Specific rules and tee arrangements will be made prior to play by the club and the outing coordinator. Practice Under no circumstances are regular tee boxes, fairways, roughs, or greens to be used for practice. Refusal of Privileges Ravenwood Golf Club shall have the right to refuse golf course privileges to anyone, who in the judgement of the club, violates the established rules and regulations as stipulated by the club herein. Personal Property Guests are reminded not to leave valuables (golf clubs, jewelry, etc.) unguarded in their vehicles or on any fairway or green. The club will not be responsible for lost or stolen property. Decorum Our dress code requires that players may not wear blue jeans, tank tops, jogging/tennis shoes, cut-offs, or swim suits. Collared shirts are to be worn by men and proper golf attire by women while on the golf course at all times. The outing coordinator will be responsible for notification to all participants or our dress code. No exceptions will be permitted. Each player must wear golf or tennis shoes. RAVENWOOD GOLF CLUB is a soft spike club - metal spikes are not permitted. Each player must have a set of golf clubs when playing the golf course. No more than one player shall play out of one bag. Rental clubs are available. Behavior that is obnoxious to other players, including the use of abusive/profane language is not permitted. Anyone deemed to be acting in such a manner will be asked to leave the property. Operation of the Golf Carts Use of golf carts is mandatory for all outing rounds. Use of golf carts shall be governed by Ravenwood Golf Club. Each outing participant is responsible for the safe operation of his/her golf cart. Anyone found to be operating his/her golf cart in an unsafe manner will be asked to leave the property. Golf carts are not to be driven through wet areas or over sprinkler heads. No more than two golf bags and two riders shall be permitted per golf cart. Members and guests are responsible for any physical damage caused, by their negligence, to or with a golf cart, and will be charged accordingly. For safety reasons, feet must be kept in the cart at all times while the cart is in motion. 2 Only persons with a valid driver’s license are permitted to rent/operate a golf cart. Liability The club assumes no responsibility or liability whatsoever for any injury or damage caused to persons or property resulting from play on the golf course. It is the personal responsibility for golfers, who are exposed to the various hazards and liabilities that may arise from golf play, to provide insurance protection for the purpose of guarding themselves and their property against such liabilities. Players on the golf course are expected to report immediately to the club, any injury or damage to persons or property cause by him or her. FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICES Consumption All food and beverages consumed on the club’s property must be purchased from the club. Alcohol Food and beverages shall be served and consumed only in accordance with New York State laws. Any and all liquor law violations are prohibited on the club’s property. Coolers Coolers, unless provided and stocked by the club, are not permitted on the golf course. PARKING All persons must drive and park motor vehicles in accordance with posted and marked regulations within Ravenwood Golf Club. Only golf course maintenance vehicles are allowed on the golf course, unless General Manager gives authority otherwise. The club will not be responsible for loss or damage to automobiles driven or parked on the club’s property. Note: This must be signed by both parties in addition to and coordination with the RAVENWOOD GOLF CLUB Golf Outing Contract.
