Remember to reserve time to include your students in the book selection process. Take a few minutes and ask them to turn-and-talk to a partner about books they’d love to see in their classroom. Then, have students jot on a piece of notebook paper the topics they’re curious about, authors they love, series they want to read, and favorite genres. Adding books students suggest to your classroom collections honors them as readers and shows how much you value and respect their input.
