This compares with a borough density of 129 residents per hectare and 52 per hectare in London. • There were 5,149 occupied households in this ward and an average household size of 2.81 residents; this is higher than the average size for Tower Hamlets of 2.47. This was below the borough and London averages (83.3% and 83.8% respectively), and below 12.5% Good Health the average for England at 81.4%. 34.6% • 14.3% of residents reported that their day-to-day activities were 4.9% Fair Health limited to some degree by a long term health problem or disability, 1.9% compared with an average for the borough of 13.5%. Bad Health • 8.8% of residents provided unpaid care to someone who has a long term health problem or disability (1,264 residents). This was above the Tower Hamlets figure for provision of unpaid care of 7.6% Very Bad Health • 4.2% of residents provided 20 hours or more of unpaid care a week 46.1% (601 residents). This was also a higher proportion than the borough average of 3.3%.
