I've been working as a programmer in various game projects developed in C#, C++, Actionscript and Unity. Most of the games can be found on the Windows Phone Marketplace. One of the games was made for the Kainuun Sanomat newspaper’s website as a subcontracting job. Video Game Programmer June 2012 – August 2012 Dare to be Digital Dare to be Digital is a video games development competition held in Dundee, Scotland featuring teams from all around the world. We were one of the three winning teams and got nominated and won the BAFTA ‘Ones to Watch’ award. Our game, Starcrossed is a 2D‐platformer developed for Windows Phone using C# and XNA. It was released through Kajak Games and can be found on the Windows Phone Marketplace and Google Play. Leonardo da Vinci programme October 2009 – December 2009 I was doing part of my work placement in Hungary while I studied in Haapajärvi Vocational College. I was living in Reguly Antal Szakképző Iskola’s dormitory. I worked at two different places: Rekord Műszaki Áruház, Zirc, Hungary Working in a small shop selling consumer electronics was a learning experience as I knew almost nothing about the Hungarian language. It felt really satisfying to learn the very basics of the language while working and interacting with people. Top PC, Zirc, Hungary Top PC was a tiny shop selling computer hardware. They also offered repair and maintenance services. Employees there had some English skills so it was easy to communicate. Working on the hardware side of things was refreshing as I usually only focus on software development.
