When you hear Dusty, you’ll keep exclaiming, Danny DeVito “Wow!” Whether in a whisper or an emotional eruption, she’s riveting. The Hermits offer Dave Brubeck charm and one irresistible tune after another. The exuberant Gerry Marsden is an Dave Clark irrepressible performer, as well. The imaginative Small Faces, not as well known in the Dave Davies Dave Mason U.S., show why they’re deserving of more recognition. Instrumental support is provided Gunnar Nelson by The Wrecking Crew (the greatest session musicians of all time), with backing vocals Hall & Oates Halle Berry from The Blossoms (including Darlene Love). The movie could previously only be found Harrison Ford on DVD in bootleg, grainy, truncated form. So this gleaming Shout! Factory release, Harry Belafonte mastered from a new High-Definition transfer, is a revelation. The commentary track Harvey Keitel offers a wealth of juicy trivia on the event and the artists from director Binder.
