The New 70 Leave the market square via Feethams at the roundabout take the 2nd exit towards the railway station continue down Park Lane. At the t junction turn left and through the railway bridge. At the mini roundabout take the 2nd exit and take the 3rd exit at the next roundabout to Neasham passing the Arena. Take the 2nd exit on roundabout to Neasham crossing the A66. (Take Care) At the T junction turn left into Neasham village. Continue through the village and take a left Dibdale Road to Middleton St George. Continue to Middleton St George passing the Golf Club and the Primary School. Approaching the bend turn left and 2nd left at mini roundabout continuing through the village. Take a right at the Platform1 Pub towards Sadberge. Continue straight on over the Crossroads in Sadberge. At the next T junction turn left to Great Stainton. Take a left turn for Newton Aycliffe (Lodge Lane) Continue on Lodge Lane till you Reach a sharp right- hand bend take a left turn here onto Lime Lane Follow the road till you come to a T junction with the A167. Turn left and take the 2nd exit on the roundabout then 1st exit at the next roundabout. The road bears right, take the 1st exit at the roundabout towards Heighington over the railway crossing towards the Heighington By pass. Take the 2nd exit at the roundabout towards Redworth and then turn left into Heighington Village. Take the 1st left heading towards Walworth Gate crossing A68 (Busy Road ) Follow the road passing Walworth Castle to the T Junction. Turn right at the next junction (Staindrop B6279). Continue on the B6279, over the offset junction with the B6275, heading towards Staindrop going through Ingleton. Passing through Staindrop take a left turn towards Little Newsham. Go through Little Newsham take a left turn. Crossing over the A67 (Busy Road) head towards Whorlton. On entering the village, before the green area turn right for Barnard Castle. Carry on to Barnard Castle past The Bowes Museum and into the town. Follow the signs for (A67 Darlington) to the check in. COMPULSORY CHECK IN AND RECOMMENDED LUNCH STOP NEXT TO THE COMMERCIAL HOTEL , GALGATE Turn back and follow the road back down towards the A67 , follow the road leaving Barnard Castle over the bridge and take immediate left turn for the B6277 (Reeth, Richmond, Scotch Corner) Follow this road along heading towards Brignall. When you arrive at the junction with the A66 turn left and immediately into the right turn lane. From here cross the A66 (Caution, take care) Westbound and on to the road for Brignall. Carry on along this road (Uneven surface & narrow road) until the T Junction, turn right here, go through Greta Bridge and then take the right turn for Barningham (narrow sections on road). On arrival in Barningham turn left at the T Junction (Newsham) and continue. On reaching Newsham take the right turn for Dalton / Gayles and carry on. In Dalton turn right at the T Junction (Gayles, Kirby Hill, and Richmond) . Continue through both Gayles and Kirby Hill and then at the next T Junction turn right (Richmond Take a left turn towards Marske. Continue on this road, at the T junction turn left for Richmond. Continue through Richmond and turn left at the roundabout for Gilling West. Head through Gilling West towards Melsonby crossing the A66 ( Busy Road ) Turn right in Melsonby for Barton. Go through Barton and head back towards Darlington going through Stapleton and eventually back into town via Grange Road, Victoria Road and Feethams. Back into the Market Square.
