North Sydney local Government area is blessed with a signifi cant portion of the harbour foreshores (18.6km) with approximately 60% of these as public reserves and parklands. Access to the foreshores has become a major community issue and a key aim of local government and other land managers. However sustainable and responsible access is not merely a matter of quantity, and physical provision.
