MICHAEL EGAN, M.L.C., Treasurer Explanatory note The object of this Regulation is to amend the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Regulation 2000 to extend the operation of a provision prescribing the Department of Education and Training and the TAFE Commission as not being within the definition of authority in section 3 (1) of the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Act 1987 for the purposes of Part 2D of that Act from 31 October 2004 to 1 May 2005. MICHAEL EGAN, M.L.C., TreasurerTreasurer Explanatory note The object of this Regulation is to prescribe persons holding certain public offices within the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions as officers of that Office for the purposes of exercising functions under sections 12 and 13 of the Public Finance and Audit Act 1983 (which deal with commitment of expenditure and the payment of accounts). This Regulation is made under the Public Finance and Audit Act 1983, including the definition of officer of an authority in section 4 (1) and section 64 (the general regulation-making power).
