Over the course of his 17 seasons with St. Kilda, Nick played over 300 AFL games whilst kicking 718 career goals. Nick’s first season at St Kilda was steady, but it was the following year where he proved himself by displaying ability and leadership among a cohort of mature men. He was awarded the club’s Best and Fairest in just his 2nd AFL season, while also being named the league Rising Star. There was no looking back from this point on for Riewoldt who was captain of the club from 2005. He led his side to two Grand Finals including the famous 2010 draw and replay and was named St Kilda’s Best & Fairest a further 5 times. In addition to the club honours, Riewoldt was selected in the All Australian side 5 times and named captain in 2009. Riewoldt earned himself the unofficial title of one of the greatest forwards of all time. Outside of work Nick is a proud husband and father to wife Catherine and three sons James, William and Edward. Tragically, in 2015, Riewoldt lost his sister Maddie to a rare bone disease at the age of just 26. It was after this tragedy Nick and his family established the charity Maddie’s Vision. Through the rest of his playing career and continuously today, he has used his football platform to help raise funds and awareness for Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision.
