No.- 2015 dtd.29.07.2021) I received secret information from a source that a gang of criminals comprising of 9/10 heads under the leadership of Sk. Ramzan@ Rahul (23 yrs) s/o- Sk. Alam of Katin Para, Ward No- 22, PS- Purulia (T), Dist- Purulia being armed with deadly weapons etc have assembled at Old Jailkhana ground with a view to commit dacoity at the nearby Gold shop. Accordingly I informed the matter to I/C Purulia (T) PS which was noted vide Purulia (T) P.S GDE No. 2032 dtd.30.07.2021 over phone and as per direction contacted with all night patrolling officers, briefing to all I Keshab Chatterjee along with source accompanying with my force namely C/326 Tapan Kr. Saha, C/154 Rajib Nag and others officers & forces, left to work out the information with Govt. vehicle No WB 24AM 7955. at 00.25 hrs we reached at the place where the accused were assembled and preparing themselves for committing dacoity. From a distance of about 50 yards we cordoned them. Their whispering came to our knowledge regarding committing of dacoity at the gold shop near to Old Jailkhana ground. We crawled nearer to them and disclosed our identity and asked them to surrender but paying no heed to our directions; they all started to flee away and we chased them by using dragon light device. After a hot chase we could able to apprehend (1) Amar Kumar (22 yrs) s/o- Sanjit Kumar of Vill + PO- Chekya, PS- Kotshila, Dist- Purulia, (2) Prasenjit Kumar (22 yrs) s/o- Deben Kumar of Vill + PO- Cheyka, PS- Kotshila, Dist-Purulia, (3) Rahul Kumar (19 yrs) s/o- Peeka Kumar of Vill + PO- Chekya, PS- Kotshila, Dist- Purulia, (4) Sk. Ramzan Rahul (23 yrs) s/o- Sk. Alam of Katin Para, Ward No- 22, PS- Purulia (T), Dist- Purulia, as identified on interrogation. On further interrogation they stated that they along with Sk. Babu of Hijuli under Hura P.S., Dist.- Purulia and Sk.. Sharukh S/O Sk. Siraj of Digudih under Purulia (T) P.S, Dist.- Purulia and 7/8 unknown others were assembled there and preparing themselves for committing dacoity at the gold shop near to Old Jailkhana ground. We searched the above persons and following items were recovered from their exclusive possession (1) One country made "Double barrel" improvised Fire Arms with two barrels, two triggers, body and butt in working condition { (Barrel-i- Length-5 % inches, Diameter- 3 inches, Body-3 inches and butt- 4 inches)} loaded with two rounds oflive ammunition (Ok 827 and Ok 04 ZA is engraved on the backside of each of the ammunitions) have been seized (the ammunitions were unloaded and seized) from the exclusive possession of Amar Kumar as on demand he failed to produce any length of document or license in respect of possession of such Arms & ammunition, (2) One "Bhojali" (total 16 inches) with iron blade having length 10 % inch and breadth 2 inch with wooden handle having length5 nch and diameter 4 inch from the possession of Prasenjit Kumar, (3) One spring knife (total length-9 inches) with an iron blade of length 4 % inches and breadthi-1 inches along with a metallic handle oflengts inches and a metallic knuckle puncher from left pocket of pant of Rahul Kumar and (4) One single body iron of accused Sk.
