Please take your Brighton Society membership card - issued by the Hon Treasurer when you pay your subscription - with you. </p><p><strong>HOVE CIVIC SOCIETY </strong></p><p>Chairman Malcom Dawes will show slides of some of the proposals on which the Society has commented during the past year, and some of the changes which have taken place in our city. has organised the following outings this summer </p><p><strong>Thursday 26 July 2007 a visit to the Bank of England Museum in Threadneedle Street </strong><br><strong>Please come and add your comments depart Hove Town Hall (Norton Rd) at 8.30am </strong></p><p><strong>THE BRIGHTON SOCIETY’S SUMMER WALK </strong>will take place <strong>on Monday 23 July 2007 </strong>at <strong>8 pm </strong></p><p>We have a one-hour tour of the Bank of England Museum outlining its history from 1694 to its modern day role. There are displays of books, documents, silver, banknotes, coins and gold. <br>The walk will start from outside the Jubilee library explore the old and the new in <strong>North Laine </strong>and finish soon after 9 pm. <br>Lunch is in the City at you own expense In the afternoon: <br>Robert Gregory feels unable to conduct the Brighton </p><p>Society walk this year, so this time it will be led by Geoff Mead. We look forward to seeing you there. </p><p><strong>Apsley House, ‘No 1 London’, </strong>designed by Robert </p><p>Adam. Wellington made this his home, enlarging it and filling it with a wonderful collection.
