This standalone MMP report should be read wholly in conjunction with all other relevant documents submitted as part of this planning application. 1.2 Proposed Development Summary and Site Location As shown in Figure 1.1, the Trinity Hall site is located approx. 3.5km south of Dublin City Centre and the Trinity College Green campus. Figure 1.1 also illustrates the sites of other Trinity College campus locations and official student residences (accommodation). Although the primary purpose of the Trinity Hall redevelopment is 3rd level student accommodation during term times, the development will also be used in the summer for language schools and tourist accommodation with these summertime residents utilising the same sustainable transports options as 3rd level students. This report outlines the following: ▪ Existing Initiatives and Travel Pattern Data ▪ Existing and Proposed Local Road Network, Facilities and Public Transport Services ▪ Objectives and Mode of Travel Targets ▪ Action Plan – appropriate measures to encourage a positive change in travel patterns ▪ Monitoring and Review process The overall objective of this MMP is compliment and align with the current Trinity College Smarter Travel Campus (STC) initiatives, measures and targets and to make a firm commitment to encourage and promote active and sustainable modes of transport such as walking, cycling and public transport as part of the proposed Trinity Hall redevelopment.
