Orval Loren Koch Joined the Wyoming National Guard at the age of 20 and belonged to Troop F, 115 Cavalry. He was sent to Fort Lewis, where he volunteered for the 101st Airborne. He was proud of doing an exhibition jump for Gen. Eisenhower while stationed at Fort Benning. Mr. Koch was sent to Germany and jumped at Normandy, where he was captured by Germans. He was a prisoner of war for 11 months before escaping with several others into Czechoslovakia, where they hid in a kind Czech family's barn for a week before they were rescued by American troops. John Harvey Ariail line James Madison Reid, husband of Sarah Jane Ariail. 10th Btry, S.C. Calvary, CSA, Civil War. He was a veteran of the war with Mexico and faced the enemy with Scott at the historic battle of the City of Mexico and that of Ra Saca DeLa Palma, besides being in many minor engagements during his two years of service.
