(PMI) today announced its submission of a Premarket Tobacco Product Application (PMTA) for an electronically-heated tobacco product with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Center for Tobacco Products. The PMTA seeks authorization to commercialize the electronically-heated tobacco product in the United States. Altria's companies have an exclusive licensing agreement with PMI to sell this heated tobacco product in the United States.
