Urbandale High School’s production of The Addams Family! Proudly Sponsors and Supports... U MATTER​ ​ delivers messages of Anti-Bullying, Inclusion, and Kindness to the students of Urbandale Middle School. Our group believes that it is not only important to inform students about anti-bullying, but also to emphasize the importance of empowerment and self-esteem. All money raised by U MATTER will go towards making videos, skits, hiring speakers, or other wide reaching opportunities to educate the students of UMS! The assemblies featured several students sharing talents in front of their peers, and some staff members participated as well! This Spring, U MATTER purchased “U MATTER Wristbands” for every student and staff member at UMS. The wristbands were given after taking the U MATTER Pledge. This was all explained in Pledge Video produced by the group. Moving Forward U MATTER has been advertised on several TV News broadcasts and has received overwhelming support from the community for our efforts so far. Members of the UHS Drama Department are excited to continue moving forward with this initiative and cannot wait to get to work. There are still projects we are planning for this year, and will keep the community posted with updates! How “U” Can Help! This weekend, audience members of “The Addams Family” will have a chance to learn more about the ​“U MATTER” ​initiative and have the chance to contribute to the organization. The audience will be given the opportunity to support this initiative at the ​“U MATTER”​ booth in the theatre lobby. There will be a freewill donation and a silent auction featuring autographed sports memorabilia, jewelry, baskets, sports tickets, and MORE! The organization has already touched hundreds of youth in the community so far this year by producing educational skits, videos, and performance but needs the help of the community to move forward! ​Scan to Order Tickets!
