Creating a Podcast Feed with Podcast RSS Buddy 1. The first time you start Podcast RSS Buddy you need to set the Time Zone. Select American | Eastern Standard Time | GMT -5 2. When you create a podcast, you must define the general information. This includes the title, author, and description. Fill out all the information. To add the optional images to your podcast, you must first upload them to the web server (Osprey). Instructions for uploading files to Osprey can be found in the Secure File Transfer section of this handout. You can use the Check buttons to make sure that the addresses you input are correct. Once you have created the podcast you can add episodes to it. Click the Add New Episode Button. 4. A window opens where you can input information about this episode. Fill out all the information. To add the podcast link, you must first upload the file to the web server (Osprey). You can use the Check button to make sure that the address you input is correct. The Auto button will automatically determine the size of your file, but the file must be on your computer. When you click the Auto button, you will be prompted to browse to the file/ Once the information is filled out, click the Publish to Disk button. If you would like to check the code Podcast RSS Buddy created, click the source button. 6. The RSS file is saved to your desktop.
