PURIFICATION AND PROPERTIES OF FRUCTOKINASE Bovine Liver Fructokinase: Purification and Kinetic Properties? Frank M. Raushel and W. W. Cleland* ABSTRACT: Fructokinase from beef liver has been purified tagatose, D-psicose, D-xylulose, ~-ribulose,D-sedoheptulose, 2300-fold by acid and heat treatment, ammonium sulfate L-galactoheptulose, D-mannoheptulose, 5-keto-D-fructose, fractionation, and chromatography on Sephadex G- 100, D-ribose, 2,5-anhydro-D-mannitol, 2,5-anhydro-~-glucitol, DEAE- and CM-cellulose.
