News Archive Preliminary Meeting 2019 The Planning Inspectorate have published their Rule 6 letter which gives notice of the appointment of the Examining Authority and the date, time and place of the Preliminary Meeting. This also includes an agenda for the day, the initial assessment of the principal issues, and the draft timetable for Examination. You can read the letter in full here: https://bit.ly/2XnSHnL. The details of the Preliminary Meeting are as follows: Date: Thursday 30 May 2019 Seating available: 9:30am Meeting begins: 10:00am Venue: The Alexander Centre, 15-17 Preston St, Faversham, Kent, ME13 8NZ If you wish to attend the Preliminary Meeting, please contact the Case Manager, Mr Hefin Jones, using the details set out at the top of the Rule 6 letter (link above). Please confirm this by no later than Thursday 16 May 2019. Rule 6 Letter We are expecting to receive the Rule 6 letter from The Planning Inspectorate in the next couple of weeks. This will set a date for the Preliminary Meeting and the Initial Assessment of Principal Issues. Typically, there are 28 days between the Rule 6 letter and the Preliminary Meeting. We will inform you when we have received this information. Making Relevant Representations The period for interested parties to register a representation with the Planning Inspectorate is now open and will run until 11.59pm on Monday 28 January 2019. Any representations (giving notice of any interest in, or objection to, the application) must be made on the Planning Inspectorate’s Registration and Relevant Representation Form which can be accessed and completed online by following the relevant link https://infrastructure.planninginspectorate.gov.uk/projects/south-east/cleve- hill-solar-park/?ipcsection=overview If you would like to request a hard copy of the Planning Inspectorate’s Registration and Relevant Representation Form, please telephone 0303 444 5000. Completed forms should be sent to The Planning Inspectorate, National Infrastructure Directorate, Temple Quay House, Temple Quay, Bristol BS1 6PN. The Planning Inspectorate reference for the Application (EN010085) should be quoted in any correspondence. The Planning Inspectorate’s Advice Notice 8.2: How to register to participate in an Examination, provides further guidance on how to register and make a relevant representation (December 2016) and can be accessed via the following link: https://infrastructure.planninginspectorate.gov.uk/wp- content/uploads/2013/04/Advice-note-8-2v3.pdf Please note that representations must be received by the Planning Inspectorate by 11.59pm on Monday 28 January 2019. In submitting a representation, it should be noted that the personal data and correspondence relating to any representation will be made publicly available. If you do not wish personal data to be made publicly available, you should state why when submitting the representation. The Planning Inspectorate will publish the representations with your name removed, however, the representations may give them less weight during the Examination as a result. Application Form and Accompanying Documents Following the submission of a Development Consent Order (DCO) application for Cleve Hill Solar Park on 16 November 2018, the DCO application was accepted for Examination by the Planning Inspectorate, who acts on behalf of the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), on Friday 14 December 2018. There will now be a period for interested parties to register a representation with the Planning Inspectorate, beginning on Wednesday 19 December 2018 and ending at 11.59pm on Monday 28 January 2019. Any representations (giving notice of any interest in, or objection to, the application) must be made on the Planning Inspectorate’s Registration and Relevant Representation Form which can be accessed and completed online by following the relevant link https://infrastructure.planninginspectorate.gov.uk/projects/south-east/cleve- hill-solar-park/?ipcsection=overview. This week we will be publicising our section 56 notices, which publicise the application as required under section 56 of the 2008 Act. The notices will be publicised across local and national media to notify people of how to register as an interested party, and will also be available to download from this website. Community Newsletter – November 2018 We have produced a Community Newsletter to update you on the final changes we have made to the proposals as a result of the feedback received and how you will be able to make comments should the application be accepted for examination by the Planning Inspectorate. To download this newsletter, please click here. DCO Submission Cleve Hill Solar Park Ltd. submitted a Development Consent Order (DCO) application to the Planning Inspectorate on 16 November 2018. The Planning Inspectorate has 28 days to accept the DCO application for examination. Should the DCO application be accepted, the formal examination process will then be managed by the Planning Inspectorate and individuals wishing to get involved will need to follow the prescribed process described below. From the date of acceptance, individuals wishing to make a representation to the Planning Inspectorate will have 28 days to do so. Electricity Generation Licence Application Cleve Hill Solar Park Ltd has made an application to the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority for an electricity generation licence. Phase Two Consultation Update Thank you to those who participated in our Phase Two consultation between Thursday 31 May and Friday 13 July 2018. We welcomed over 400 people to our community consultation events and received over 700 pieces of feedback on our proposals for Cleve Hill Solar Park. We have produced a Phase Two Community Project Update to provide a summary of the feedback we received during our Phase Two consultation, to update you on how we are responding to this feedback and to inform you on what the next steps are for the proposed Cleve Hill Solar Park. We also would like to inform people that our indicative submission date for the Development Consent Order (DCO) application has moved from August to October 2018.
