New Mexico State, Tennessee, Texas and West Virginia will take the floor for the Championship Rounds on Nov. 23-24 at the newly-built Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., the first new major sports and entertainment venue in the nation’s top media market in over 25 years. Please fax your Championship Round application to The Gazelle Group, Attn: Evan Olesh, (609) 921-2332. Those who have requested a credential request form will be notified of their status via e-mail. Confirmed credentials can be picked up the day of the games at Media Will Call in Prudential Center. Click HERE for a printable application. In addition to showcasing some of the nation’s premier men’s college basketball teams, the Legends Classic was also established to honor former players and coaches from the participating teams that have made a significant contribution to the sport. The “Legends” will be recognized annually at the event. The Legends Classic will be held at the brand new Prudential Center. Prudential Center is the home of the New Jersey Devils, Seton Hall University men’s basketball and the New Jersey Ironmen of the MISL. It showcases 76 luxury suites, 2,330 club seats, and an array of amenities and conveniences for fans. Prudential Center seats 17,500 people for soccer games, 17,625 for hockey games, 18,500 for basketball games and 19,500 for concerts. The Northeast Conference (NEC) is the sponsoring conference of the Legends Classic. Now entering its 27th season, the NEC is an NCAA Division I collegiate athletic association consisting of 11 institutions of higher learning located throughout five states.
