Whereas the Poisons Board, constituted' in accordanc~ with Section 26 of the Medicines, Pharmacy and Poisop.s ':Act (Northern' Ireland) 1945(a),' has recommended tome 'that the list· of -substances' which are to be treated as poisons fpr the purposes of the Pharmacy a~d Poisons Acts (Northern Ireland) 1925 to 1955(b) and known as "the Poisons ~hedule" for the 'purposes of those Acts should be amended so that <?ertain ,additionai substances should be inciuded in Part I of the said schedule (which Part consists of those Poisons which, subject to the provisions of the said Acts, ,are n6t to be sold except by a person who is an authoris,ed seller of .poisons) and in Part II thereof (which Part consists of those Poisons which, subject to the provisions of the said Acts, are not to be' sold except by authorised' sellers of poisons and those persons who are authorised 'by the local authority iihd whose names are entered in a register kept ·by.' tlielocal' authotityuilder Section 30 of the Act). This Order may be cited as the' Poisons List Order (Northern Ireland) 1967 and shall come ipto operation on 23rd·.June 1967; A rilendments 2. The "Poisons Schedule'" ,for the purpose's of the Pharmacy and Poisons Acts (Northern Ireland) 1925 to '1955(~)shallbe amended'and varied as follows, that is to say: ' , ,." , (a) Part I shall be amended and varied in the manner specified in para- graph 1 of the First Schedule; and , (b) Part II shall be amended and -:aried'in the manner specified in para- graph 2 of that ~hedule . ,and accordjngly the list of substances whieh are to ,be ,treated as poisons for the purposes of the Pharmacy and Poisons Acts (Northern Ireland) 1925 to 19~5 shall be as set out in the Second Schedul~.
