CUMANN CAMOGAIOCHTA COISTE CHONTAE AONTROMA REVISED ANTRIM CAMOGIE LEAGUE AND CHAMPIONSHIP FIXTURES, JULY-NOVEMBER 2020 30th June 2020 1 The current document presents a comprehensive list of camogie fixtures for our clubs across County Antrim for the period between July and November 2020. This has been a difficult year for our sport, but despite the constricted timeframe available to us we believe that we can still have a meaningful programme of games delivered between now and November. To achieve this objective, however, clubs will need to be flexible in their interactions with each other and to be conscious that the other codes within the GAA family will be looking to play a compacted games schedule as well. As such, there may be issues at a local level with regards obtaining access to a pitch on a specified date. For exam- ple, a club might not be able to provide facilities for a fixture on the date set out in this schedule and they may ask their opponents for an alternative date or a reverse loca- tion. We would hope that communication between clubs would be able to resolve such issues. In addition, our schedule of games will continue into the Autumn and this will have an impact on the ability to play fixtures during weekday evenings. As we move into Sep- tember, therefore, there will be increasing need to play games during daylight hours at weekends. Reading through the document it will become apparent that we have allocated games to either a Saturday or a Sunday so that the clubs involved in a fixture can converse and reach agreement as to which day would suit them best. Likewise, we have left the option for finals to be played on either a Saturday or a Sunday so as not to clash with the semi-finals or finals of other codes, particularly the case where such a fixture might involve teams from the same club. Finally, where possible, and particularly for juvenile fixtures, we have attempted to place teams into regional groupings in order to reduce the need for cross-county travel. 2 SENIOR: DIVISION 1
