GIOVANNI COMBONI Born in Crema (CR) on 26 January 1957 Degree in Philosophy from the State University of Milan. International Master in Business Administration (MBA) from SDA-Bocconi in Milan. Academic and training experiences From 1991 to 2014: contracted Professor of Business Economics within the L. Bocconi University of Milan, in particular within the Master’s Course in Legal Sciences. From 1998 to 2003: lecturer at the SDA-Bocconi of Milan, Strategy and Company Policies department. From 2004 to 2012: lecturer on Strategic Marketing within the Master’s Course on Marketing Management organized by the University of Parma and the Sole 24 Ore. He has lectured at the IULM University of Milan, SUPSI in Lugano (CH) and the Polidesign Consortium of the Polytechnic of Milan. He manages strategies for small to medium sized companies as well as complex organizations, themes on which he has produced certain specific articles and essays. Professional experience From 1984 to 1986: employed in a medium sized company that was a leader in its sector (lighting systems); eventually promoted to Operational Director of the German branch. As of 1988: supplied management consulting services for small to medium sized companies in the industrial and service sectors. As of 1991: founding shareholder of Impresa Sviluppo S.r.l.,a management consulting company operating at a national and international level. In 2006 he co-founded Partners S.p.A., a management consulting company, where he worked until 2011. From 1996 to 2003 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of S.I.L.O. S.p.A., a service company operating in the sector of distribution logistics. From 1999 to 2005 he was the Chairman of Selene S.p.A. (ASM Brescia Group, currently A2A), a company operating in the ICT sector. From 2000 to 2004 he was the Vice Chairman of Brescia On Line (BOL), a company managing the web portal of Brescia. As of 2009 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of Ori Martin S.p.A. (steel sector, a leading company in the sector for special steels), as of 2010 he has been Vice Chairman and Delegated Director, as of 2013 Delegated Director. Institutional experiences From 1994 to 1996 he was a Councillor of Trade and Handicrafts and Councillor for Corporate Relations for the municipality of Brescia. From 1996 to 1998 he was Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Cultural Heritage for the municipality of Brescia. He worked specifically on the opening of the City Museum (Museum of Santa Giulia) as well as on the transformation of municipal enterprises into SpA (Italian joint stock companies) (Centrale del Latte and ASM, currently A2A). In 1996 and 1997 he was Vice Chairman of Brescia “Mostre Grandi Eventi” (“major events and fairs”), a public association for the promotion of cultural activities in the territory.
