In addition, under the KNCV TBCARE 1 APA 1, funding has been provided for 5 more for phased implementation of the Xpert MTB/RIF in the remaining 5 selected sites. Regarding TBCARE, under the Pilot GeneXpert Project, the country Xpert Advisory Team has been set up. Training materials for all levels of staff have been developed as well as SOPs and R&R formats. Materials for the initial 9 sites have been printed. Within the pilot project the country receives TA from PMU/KNCV HQ in the field of lab and project implementation. Part of the project focuses on extensive data collection to evaluate the rapid introduction of Xpert in the field. .
