Unfortunately I only met him once but felt he was a kind, honest gentleman who I am sure will be sadly missed by others who knew him better than I. This sad news reached me after, what seems like only a few days, I was on parade at the Cenotaph with others from the Association who attended to honour the memory of those that fell in the service of our country. It was the first time I had attended this event and I find it hard to express in words the pride I felt at that parade.
